Thanksgiving & Disneyland

It's been awhile since I've updated. I've been busy catching up on things at home. You know, you leave for just 3 nights and it takes like a week and a half to catch up again! Unfortunately last week I came down with strep throat, 2 ear infections and a sinus infection 3 days before our trip to Disneyland :(. It was not so fun trying to finish last minute errands and finish packing everything while not feeling well. I usually get really really sick once a year and it just had to be that week?! We had our traditional Judd family dinner Wednesday night, which is always fun, then we ate with the Flakes Thursday afternoon. We had the car packed and ready, so from there we headed for the Happiest Place on Earth! We had a blast with Jason's family! It had been a long time since any of us had been there. We spent the first day at Disneyland, the second day at California Adventures, then headed back to Desnyeland after CA closed. We took Brittney on as many rides as we could. She really liked the tea cups and Dumbo. Even on some of the kid rides, she got a little scared and cuddled up to whoever was holding her. One of the last rides we went on was Winnie the Pooh, which isn't scary at all, but it got a little dark and Brittney pulled her blanket over her head. It was so cute! She really was a trooper for the long car rides and the long days and late nights. I couldn't have asked for a happier girl. My in-laws very graciously stayed with the 2 babies so the rest of us could enjoy the fast rides. I love rollercoasters and fast/scary rides, and there really isn't one I won't go on (unless maybe it's kinda cold out and I just did my hair and I don't wanna get wet!). My favorite rides were Space Mountain, a classic, and the Tower of Terror in CA. If you haven't ever been on it, you gotta try it! I do have to mention the theft of Brittney's pink glow stick! It cost all of 88 cents and we bought it for Halloween but forgot to use it, so we brought it with us. The first night there, we had just opened it and I tied it to the stroller so Brittney wouldn't drop it. We parked the stroller and went on the Jungle Cruise and when we went to pick up the stroller, I pointed out to Jason that it was gone. I was kinda bummed that someone would take it, and then my bro and sis-in-law said they saw this lady shoving something bright pink in her pocket just as we came out. Jason thought that she had been acting really weird when he walked by her too. So, knowing I would never see this lady again, I walked up to her and told her we were missing a glow stick and asked her if she had seen it. She acted all defensive and told me she didn't even know what a glow stick is! Really? Then Jason came up and asked her to empty her pockets! It was actually pretty funny, since it was 88 cents, but she denied it and ran her hands through her pockets but wouldn't show us. I was really wishing that I would run into her again wo I could give her a piece of my mind about taking that from a child! Thankfully we took our cameras with us on every ride so they weren't left unattended, otherwise Sally-steals-a-lot might have taken those too! A minor mishap, for sure, but it still made me mad. Anyway, things went really well and we had the best time. Thanks Packers for a great trip! Here are some pictures from our adventure:

You can't really tell, but she was dancing here. So cute!

Ooooh, the Tower of Terror!

The lights on It's a Small World were awesome!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and lots of turkey! I love this time of year and all the fun family activities that go along with it. I can't wait to do a little shopping, listen to some 99.9, attend some great parties and visit the Temple to see the lights. Yay for Christmastime!
